Our scuba diving in Mozambique takes place on the reefs between Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli which offers some of the best shark diving and reef diving in Mozambique.
The Dive Sites range between 10-meters and 35-meters and are home to a huge variety of other marine life including many Shark species, Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Ribbontail Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish & more.
Our main focus is on scuba diving the shark reefs as this gives us the best of both world's and because we don't offer any dive courses, our dive sites are not restricted by having student or novice divers on the boat.
During the Humpback Whale migration, we often see these amazing animals breaching from the boat as well as from the main deck at our lodge which overlooks the ocean. We have also seen Humpback Whales on scuba dives!
We have a number of Shark reefs between Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli and the more we scuba dive the more dive sites we are finding. The shark diving in Mozambique offers a huge variety of shark species and in total we have seen 16-species of shark in Mozambique including the main sightings of Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and Whale Sharks.
We have also seen other species of shark from time to time including Great White Sharks, Java Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Guitar Sharks and this year for the first time we even had a Ragged Tooth Shark which we normally see in South Africa.
The shark diving is mainly on our deeper dive sites. During your stay you will observe the sharks, learn how to identify the different species, understand the sharks behaviour and how sharks interpret your behaviour.
Although our shark diving is also on the reef, we have many other reefs between Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli which are also home to a huge variety of other marine life and offer some fantastic scuba dives with Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish & more.
The area attacts a large number of pelagic fish which spend time on many of the reefs during the year.
